Chess Club

The Sayre School Chess Club spans all three divisions. Interested students get together once a week to learn and play the game of chess. Many of these students compete in regional chess tournaments and bring home championship trophies.
The collective goal of the Sayre Chess Club is to expose students to a fascinating game that they can play for life. The students will also develop their ability to think strategically and critically, learn to focus their mental energies, and, most importantly, have a great time together. The Chess Club is a unique organization because it involves students from kindergarten through grade 12.
