Special Programs
Special Programs are held throughout the year. This assembly of the student body meets for special events, from guest speakers to musical programs. On occasion the Lower, Middle, and Upper School meet as a whole, while for other events visitors to campus meet with students in small groups.
Visiting Voices: Sayre School Diversity Initiative
Sayre School’s Diversity Committee announced a new initiative in 2005-2006 to bring a variety of the region’s best minds to campus. “Visiting Voices” will bring authors, artists, scientists and athletes to campus for extended interaction with students in small groups.
Peter Catalanotto

Peter Catalanotto, noted author and illustrator, will be visiting Sayre on May 8. He will spend the day speaking to and working with Kindergarten through Fifth Grade students. His programs focus on both writing and illustrating as he takes students through his creative process, from inspiration to finished paintings. Pre-order Book List for Peter Catalanotto
Ambassador Carey Cavanaugh
Sayre parent and director of the Patterson School of Diplomacy, will be speaking to Sayre Upper School on May 7 about China and its position in the international community on the eve of the Beijing Olympics. He had a great reception in the Middle School last month. Ambassador Cavanaugh will offer an objective view on the China-Tibet situation as a counterpoint to the work that Students For a Free Tibet try to do.
